  • 10 people participated in our apprenticeship program providing them with additional coaching and time to obtain competitive work.
  • 48 people benefited through community-based training.  These were positions in local businesses where individuals were given the opportunity to train in an area of their choosing under the direction of skilled professionals.
  • 26 students from Richmond county high schools attended class and job training at the Easter Seals center.  Upon completion of their semester program, many were found after school jobs -  with many helped later to find jobs following their graduation from high school.  This wonderful program is a collaborative venture involving the Richmond County School System, Department of Labor, Vocational Evaluation, and Easter Seals.

  • 2059.5 hours were spent teaching specific skills so that employment opportunities would increase for people with disabilities.  For instance, training was provided in basic computer literacy, data entry, customer service, cash register skills, and driver's education.
  • 30 Easter Seals' clients were successfully employed in area businesses.
  • 500 pieces of non-fitted medial equipment like wheelchairs, canes and walkers were provided on loan to people without the resources to obtain them on their own.
