Vocational Evaluation

Vocational Evaluations help to determine what a person can do, what they are interested in doing and what is vocationally possible given their particular situation.  Evaluators help individuals develop specific vocational goals.

Many times people come to Easter Seals feeling overwhelmed by life-changing events that have occurred in their lives and they are looking for direction.  Vocational evaluations provide critical information regarding intellectual functioning, academic levels, aptitude, interests, and vocational skills.  This information is used to determine the level of employment a person may be capable of pursuing.  It can give insight as to whether or not vocational training is appropriate, or if the individual should learn new job skills, go back to school, or in some cases, learn how to be as independent as possible in a more limited lifestyle.
