Work Adjustment Training |

Disabilities and how they affect individuals are unique and multifaceted. Sometimes vocational testing is not enough to determine employability and people are referred to the Work Adjustment Program.
The workshop team secures various assembly and production contracts from area businesses. This work then becomes a "tool" to teach new skills and to build confidence while preparing individuals for competitive employment. The workshop is both the classroom and the window by which professional staff can observe and guide the individual. Emphasis is placed on productivity, quality, attitude, the client's ability to understand and follow directions, and their reliability.
For many people with disabilities, work adjustment training is their first job experience. Following completion of the program, job placement personnel work with them to secure job opportunities in the community where they can be successful
